Taking good care of your flowers is the key to making sure they stay looking fresh and beautiful for as long as possible. Many of the flowers you’ll receive from us won’t be fully open when we send them so that you get to enjoy their full beauty, not us. Below are some instructions to help you extend their vase life as much as possible.
Hand-Tied Bouquets:
Remove the wrapping so that your flowers can breathe.
Fill a clean vase with fresh, room temperature water and mix in one of the flower food sachets that was supplied with your arrangement.
Trim 1-2 cm off the ends of your flower stems cutting them on a 45 degree angle and remove any foliage that will be below the water line before placing the flowers in your vase.
Check the water levels daily, making sure the cut ends of your stems are always in the water.
Clean the vase with warm water and a small drop of dish soap and replace the water completely every 2-3 days. Trim the stems of your flowers again before placing them back in the water.
To keep the flower arrangement neat and tidy while you replace water, secure the flowers in place with an elastic band or some twine tied around the point where all the stems cross over, and then remove this before placing them back in the water.
Remove any spent or decaying blooms, petals, and foliage daily, and keep the flowers away from fruit bowls and cigarette smoke, as all these things emit ethylene gas which can cause flowers to wilt quickly.
Keep the flowers out of direct sunlight.
Keep the flowers in a cool room, but away from drafts and air conditioning.

What To Do If Cut Flowers Wilt
Flowers are an organic product and all of them will wilt over time. In fact, it is the fleeting nature of flowers’ beauty that makes us appreciate them so much! That said, you can expect your flowers to last around 5-7 days, though some blooms may last longer than this. You can read more about the expected vase life of different flowers here.
If the flowers that you received from Fleurish wilt quickly or you’re unsatisfied with their quality or longevity in any way, we definitely want to hear about it, so please contact us!
