At Fleurish, we source fresh flowers directly from growers whenever we can, but also buy from wholesalers and we only ever buy flowers when we have customers who have ordered them. This means that you receive them while they are as fresh as possible. We also do this as part of our commitment to sustainability and reducing waste, as we only buy the product that we need.
However, even the freshest of flowers are an organic product which will begin to decay as soon as they are cut from their plant. We encourage you to cherish their fleeting beauty while you have them.
The lists below outline how long different floral species last on average when they are being looked after well. That said, several factors can cause the actual vase life of flowers to vary, such as different varieties within each species, how well they’ve been conditioned and cared for, and how sensitive they are to ethylene gas, which is emitted by decaying flowers/foliage, ripening fruits, and cigarette smoke.
We provide this guide to help you in selecting flowers for your order and we hope that the flowers that we provide exceed all expectations.
